Boulder Valley Lacrosse encourages you to consider coaching with us in the upcoming season.
Lacrosse experience is helpful, but not required-- a positive, enthusiastic approach to youth sports is mandatory !
If you can help organize and inspire young athletes, you are welcome to coach with us. We have a tremendous supply of players and we are always looking to add new coaches to our program.
We have an extensive support system and training approach in place for new coaches. We understand that coaches have to place careers and families first, so we work to assign coaches in a “tag-team” fashion. We’ll pair you with other BVL coaches, working cooperatively to insure that every practice and every game has coverage even if you can’t be there.

If you’re interested in playing as well as coaching, many BVL coaches also participate in our mens' drop-in group on Sundays at Manhattan Middle School and our mens teams in the Mile High Lacrosse League. Each summer, we enter a Supermasters (40+) team into the Vail Shootout.

Parent coaches will receive one complimentary registration per season for child after completing a full spring or fall season coaching with us. Non-parent coaches may be eligible for a moderate paid stipend.
BVL coaches will receive complimentary logo apparel, including polo shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. All BVL head coaches will also receive complimentary US Lacrosse membership.
REQUIREMENTS:
Every BVL coach must complete our online Coaches Registration (scroll to bottom of registration page): BVL Coaches Registration
The program will divert you to NCSI (National Center for Safety Initiatives) first to complete your online background check, then click on "Return to League Athletics site" to complete the Coaches Registration on our website. Be sure to hit "Submit" to finalize the Coaches Registration with us once you have completed our form.
Every BVL coach must take the online “Heads Up” Concussion Awareness Course available at https://headsup.cdc.gov/. This is required of all youth sports coaches by Colorado State Law.
Every BVL coach must agree to our Zero Tolerance for Abuse policy and our Pledge of Responsibility as part of our online registration.
PARAMETERS:
2020 SPRING LEAGUE: We are looking to add head and assistant coaches for our annual CYLA Spring League.
Save the date: our preseason coaches' clinic will be held Sunday March 8th at a location TBD. We will demonstrate our favorite drills, cover important aspects of coaching youth lacrosse, and discuss BVL's coaching philosophy.
Non-parent coaches will receive a stipend for coaching. Parent coaches with at least one season of prior coaching with BVL will receive a credit toward your son's registration fee.
CYLA Spring League: Most teams will practice two nights per week, generally at Manhattan Middle School or nearby in Boulder. Teams will likely practice from 600pm to 730pm. Practices will begin the week of March 9th, 2020.
No practices over Spring Break (March 23-29).
Games will be held on Saturdays and a few Sundays in April and May:

- CYLA CHAMPIONSHIPS for all teams: Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st, at Stenger Fields in Arvada. End of season.
